RYBSA/OSBA BASEBALL BAT REGULATIONS

Baseball players may use the following bats for practice, or during games for the 2024 season.

  • “USA” Labeled bats no larger than 2 5/8” barrel and no smaller than 2 1/4” barrel

  • No TPR or USSSA BPF 1.2 bats will be permitted. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Bat MUST have  "USA" bat label on it! (All Baseball Divisions including Intro Coach Pitch, Rookie, Minors, Majors and Babe Ruth)

    *Only players in the Babe Ruth Baseball Division may also use bats labeled with the "BBCOR" stamp with a rating of no lower than -3 (drop 3) no larger than 2 5/8” . Note, players in the Babe Ruth division may also use “USA” Labeled bats no larger than 2 5/8” barrel and no smaller than 2 1/4” barrel.

    ((NOTE: 2 3/4" bats with any variety of stamp or label are NOT approved for use in RYBSA/OSBA local or district play. All bats with stamps that are not legible or removed are deemed as "not approved" and will be removed from play and penalties during play may be applied as per Cal Ripken Babe Ruth league Regulations!))

Softball players may use the following bats for practice or during games for the 2024 season.

  • “Official Softball” 2 ¼” diameter barrel 

  • Fast pitch labeled bats 2 ¼” diameter barrel
